Additional Information:

Creatinine clearance (CrCl) is used to assess renal function by providing an approximation of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). Creatinine clearance is used when the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is unreliable, such as in extremes of muscle mass. 

Creatinine clearance (mL/min) = ([Urine creatinine] x urine volume (mL/min))/[serum creatinine]
