CA15-3 is a tumour marker associated with malignant glandular cells seen in breast cancer. CA15-3 is primarily used for monitoring treatment and recurrence of breast cancer, particularly in metastatic disease.  

CA15-3 can also be raised in benign and malignant disease of the lung, liver and reproductive systems. It should therefore be interpreted with caution in the clinical context and should not be used for screening in the general population.
